Kerber

kerber-1 kerber-2 kerber-3

Site of Kerber, swedish fashion label. Sleek and minimal design, with large imagery and adaptive layout – elegant concept of large image followed by details for each item, like the rollover state which shows the rear of the item – and the enticing grid of thumbnails at the bottom to see other items in the collection.

Nice site for the Diesel – Black Gold collection. Explore Diesel’s latest catwalk photos and videos for the range. Love the offset grid of images and cool transition to full view, like the way the image resizes and moves. Really interesting method of navigation which unfolds out across the screen – then is ever present transparent and centred in the screen.

Diesel 5 Pockets Male

Nice site for Diesel and their ‘5 Pockets’ jean collection for men. Browse the type of jeans from textured, light, and blue – bringing you the range through a vertical scroll layout. Looking at the detail reveals a quasi-3d effect, with the model  static but small graphic elements re-acting to your mouse position. Like the transitions from overview to detail view and the interesting layout and cool effects.

Wrangler Spring / Summer 2013

Site promoting the Male 2013 Spring / Summer collection of Wrangler Europe. Essentially a really cool interactive gallery of models wearing the clothing line. Featuring semi-surreal scenes where the movement of your cursor controls your perspective and when you click and drag you control the movement of the model – so from rotating, to moving across the screen. The execution is fantastic, love the 3d style perspective which can be influenced by your mouse – really adds to the feeling of depth. Really cool animations and a thick layer of polish…

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Japanese site of label Rollin’, described as “Creative director Daisuke Iwashita presents his collection for the label and offers backstage video, accessories gallery, and stockist information”. Not 100% sure about the product but the site is pretty cool. Love the simple, minimal design and the transitions and animation – particularly on the section ‘collection’ – when pressed it scrolls at speed through all of the images. I also like the off-canvas style transition to reveal product info, again all wrapped up in a simple design with cool animation.

RVLT Revolution

Nice site of RVLT clothing. Really nice design brought to life by cool animation and transitions. Love the homepage – dragging will slide off the components and re-arrange the layout when they re-appear, clicking on a section or item brings it in – love the way the text overlaps the image and the info overlay. Nice grid layout – really simple, fresh and clean.

Evoke Sunglasses

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

Interactive musical experiment site promoting Evoke’s Zegon Sunglasses. A large sequencer plays samples, you interact by clicking and dragging shapes – sadly the site is quite hard to navigate / understand. However, there are lots of cool animations and interesting transitions – click to drag through images of specific frames – images zoom out and react to mouse position. Nice layout and minimal design, pretty cool.

FOB – Paris

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

Site of FOB a premium pocket watch maker aimed at the fashion world. Very simple site full of nice transitions and full bleed imagery and bold typography. I really like the movement as you traverse each section of the site – the slow easing into position of elements. Nice layout and design too…

DuJour

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

Brilliant site for DuJour magazine, a minimal fashion spread. Great use of typography and photography – a real attempt to get that magazine feel on a site – each article has an overview as you scroll down, allowing you to quickly see the photos and read a snippet – when you explore an article the item spreads out to reveal more content. Love the sticky side navigation so it is always accessible – contents and main nav, contents is really useful for such a long site. Works well on tablet too, really modern fresh site which looks and acts great.

Only Because We Can

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

Site for high European street label ‘ONLY’. Essentially quite a long video catalogue featuring clothes from the label, when you click the video stops and hotspots appear – when you click on of these the item is highlighted. Simple, but the transitions and small details such as nice transitions and animations just life it all a little. Nicely made and a slick experience.

Golden State of Mind

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

Fun, bold, and colourful site for Pacific Sunwear of California. Large photography, bold colours, and parallax scrolling (this time vertically), but all combined make a very graphic presence – very simple in it’s execution but works wonderfully. Love the easing on the scroll – which makes such a difference on a site like this – makes for smooth scrolling experience.

Kroeher

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

Portfolio of freelance makeup artist Judith Kröher. Really like the layout and the simplicity of the site, nicely considered grid and design. Colours of the background enhance the photographs well and a I like the large logo overlaid onto the site. Nice, minimal, and simple…
