Maria Callas

By | @uprsg | No Comments

Site of famous opera singer Maria Callas, and a release of remastered classics. Featuring a sound reactive homescreen with 3D elements undulating and responding to soundtrack. Feeling like a form of sleek album boxset artwork, with a dive into the history of the star and photos from across the years. Nicely designed and crafted experience.

Poor Millenials

By | @gladeye | No Comments

Long form interactive editorial piece from the Highline of Huffington post. A 8-month long reporting piece diving into the complexities millennials face today. Love the format of large data driven visuals brought to life through simple interactions such as scrolling. Nice use of typography and illustration to drive energy, which being a long read, still feels fun and informative. Nice work…

The new BMW.com, featuring bold and lively layout for this modern brand hub. Content first strategy with editorial articles, design pieces, and full bleed background video. Interesting approach that reinforces the brand and allows users to experience the world of BMW without looking at specific models and being overtly sold to.

Open Wear

Site of Open Wear, a ski / snowboard outerwear brand and community. Featuring an editorial design approach featuring articles, opinion pieces, gear reviews and so on. Beautiful design and great execution, love the transition states between the pages, and the thoughtful interactions. Nice design details, with slightly skewed buttons / UI, makes it feel a little more human. Particularly enjoy the homescreen, with the scrolling panel of content along the right edge.

Hogwarts

Beautiful experiential site which transports you to the hazy world of Hogwarts. Scroll through the 3D world and discover key moments from the Harry Potter world as you float around iconic locations. Beautifully executed with a nice balance of interactivity, playfulness, and content – it looks amazing with some of the best 3D implementation i’ve seen. Minimal UI and hierarchy allows you to really immersive yourself in the experience.

Phoenix

Site of Montreal based digital agency Phoenix. Love the homepage, with scrolling thumbnails and masked title transitions – when tapped transition nicely into the full project pages. Dynamic and lively project pages with lovely animated sections to bring the work to life, some with parallax details, beautifully designed and considered. Great example of a modern and lively agency folio.
