Triton – Summer Of Secrets

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

triton summer secrets

Website promoting Triton’s, Brazilian fashion label, Summer of Secrets website. Inviting you to ‘Discover what lurks in the heart’s of strangers’, by linking to a variety of sites through relevant subjects, shown through a drag and explore panorama of imagery and text snippets. Quite fun and a bit weird, there are some interesting sites they link to and it’s fun to explore the mini sites. Love the animation of the flipping images on the homepage.

Brightdancing

Pretty interesting site promoting the sponsorship of X Factor & TalkTalk – a phone/broadband company, in the UK. Using the idea of light drawing/graffiti this site invites the audience to record their own light drawing via webcam and save to the site. The best clips will be shown during the commercial breaks of X Factor. It’s a pretty cool concept – the nice part is the website which enables all of this. Nicely designed with a pretty cool interface – it’s nice to just watch the videos on the site as they all refresh automatically so it’s fun enough just to sit back and watch some roll by.

HBO Imagine

HBO imagine

Fantastic site promoting HBO and it’s new project, much like the HBO Voyeur, HBO Imagine. Presenting a series of short films all shot from 4 different angles. The mechanism for viewing is a large 3d cube which you drag around to see the 4 different sides. There are several films to explore all through a floaty 3d interface. It is all highly polished with great transitions and animation, love the way you can explore the different videos. All very slick interactivity with interesting films, all directed by Noam Murro, complete a really cool online experience.

Silenzio

silenzio

Interesting portfolio of French movie poster studio and marketing agency Silenzio. What makes this so accomplished is the animation and the 3d thumbnails of the posters, visually it is attractive and the animation really brings it to life. Nicely structured the posters can also be organised by alphabetical order, or explored through a 3d wall. Very cool…

anteprima 2009

Interesting landing page that caught my attention of fashion label Anteprima. The page scrolls across with a mix of photos and videos, an interesting way of showcasing the label’s collection instantly, it is nice enough to just sit and watch the photos & video scroll by. The rest of the site is very straight forward but I loved the landing page, very interesting.

Uniqlo – Collection 2009

uniqlo collection 2009

Another fantastic website from Uniqlo, promoting their 2009 collection. Presented with a full screen video with models walking on a giant cross, wearing Uniqlo clothing, with numbers and markers highlighting the style number following their movements. When you click on a style another video loads with the model walking alone along the giant cross, allowing you to see in detail what they are wearing. Cool music and nicely shot video assets, love the transition from the main video to the individual videos… very cool.

Filippa K – What Inspires you?

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

Filippa K what Inspires you

Site of the Fall Winter 2009 collection of Filippa K. Posing the question ‘What inspires you?’, and offering a floating sea of tags, once you click a tag a series of photographs are arranged highlighting the range with some hotspots appearing. In each of the hotspots certain aspects are displayed, i.e. the item, or videos showing the ocean and so on. It is good to see a site showing a personality and a considered style when presenting the range and indeed the label, interesting way of navigating too.

SAAB – Change Perspective

By | WEBSITES | No Comments

saab change perspective

Site showcasing SAAB, it’s history and philosophy, with the aim to show the audience SAAB’s perspective. Nicely designed and produced beautifully this simple site has several small interactive experiences highlighting certain features of the car. I really appreciate the minimal design, well considered layout, with fantastic assets and playful interactivity, one of the best examples of the ‘desktop’ interface I have seen – great attention to detail.
