Site promoting Chanel’s jewellery inspired by the cafe society in the 1920s. Featuring video, music, and photography to paint a scene via one long scrolling page. Love the time stamp as you scroll reflecting the time, and the ambience provided by the montage of sounds and images. Simple, beautiful, and elegant, it offers a much more interesting pastiche of the jewellery than simple product shots and much more inspiring story.

Site promoting Dos Dots – a unisex children’s clothing label from Brooklyn, NY. Nice bold typography and style harking back to Japan, where the denim in the clothing is from. The interaction model is simple and easy to use, getting to the details of the items all from sliding panels from the homepage. It looks great, and is also responsive too.

Site of Serge Thoraval, artisan French jeweller. App like layout and functionality taking you on a journey through the work of the jeweller. Like that you look at one section at a time, like turning the pages of a book, with well considered transitions and zoom in effects to enlarge the pictures – all which injects some personality into the site.

Nice and simple site for Look Films who create films for the fashion industry. Such a simple premise, choose a film – based on a whole strip of keyframes – you can even navigate all the video content on the site from the same video scrubber. Nice, slick, and simple user experience which lets the content do the talking.

Short and sweet lookbook of Danish fashion brand Stylepit. A slow motion video scene of a train pulling into station, your view looking onto the platform and seeing a diverse range of people wearing the products. You can click and drag the scene to change your view – and see more people and clothing. Really nice simple idea and fun execution and it looks great.

Site of artist management firm JR & Associee. Nicely stripped back and laid out like a magazine, really simple – just a nice way of seeing the work of the photographers and so on. Like on the homepage, where you rollover the thumbnail you get to see the range of images within that section.

Nice little mechanic for comparing the looks you can get with certain items like jeans and jackets – you rollover the model and see the change. Lots of nice transitions and animations – like the way you carousel through the looks – really nice.

Nice new site for Pollen a branding and design agency for the fashion sector. Responsive, modern site – love the slide out menu and the slick transitions / preloader to the individual projects. Nicely laid out the offset grid maintaining it visually interesting throughout. Individual stories for each of the projects offering moodboards, user journeys and so on make it a bit different to the mainstream portfolio site. Nice.

Another great piece of work for Sonia Rykiel, this time revealing their pre Spring / Summer 2014 collection. Loads of super slick animations and transitions and details, especially like the little preloaders in different styles and positions – never overlaid across the visuals. The transitions from the grid to the detail view are pretty cool, and the way you see more tiles on the grid is great.

Site promoting the F/W 2013 Intimate collection from Diesel. Really really simple, range of their underwear range on a model – move your mouse and she rotates based on your cursor position. No complicated buttons – just cursor position – nice way of seeing the underwear as opposed to endless galleries / videos and so on.

Site promoting the latest ‘campaign’ from denim label G-Star RAW. Featuring a carousel of looks constructing and de-constructing – love the way the typography builds up, and in the background the different layers of glass rotating and moving. Some nice sections such as the look book – again like the way on rollover you can cycle through some different angles. Nice clean / minimal interface, and monotone style.
Lovely site of Sonia Rykiel 2013 F/W collection, arranged by looks set against bright coloured backgrounds and a cool lighting effect – changing by mouse position. Nice slick animations when navigating from look to look, and nice bottom tray with a carousel of all of the items. Good looking site with nice interface and cool animations.
