A collection of lovely Web GL driven particle experiments. Lovely presentation of some beautiful particle visualisations, ranging in complexity. Fun to play with and love ability to play around with the output via the control panel. Very slick wrapper that showcases this creative developer’s skills.
Lovely site for those at the 2016 Google I/O, as a way for people to spend some time and interact with the large screens in the intervals. The lovely thing about it is the mechanic and the way it worked on mobile, you would create a plane, place a geo-located stamp, fold it up, rotate your phone to landscape and imitate throwing a plane – the phone would vibrate and a little ‘swoosh’ noise would play. Once launched you could then catch other planes with a net, again moving around your phone like a net to capture a plane, once you caught one – you could again unfold it and add your stamp, and again launch it back out. Such a simple, but beautifully executed & crafted experience, using all the features of your phone to create a truly mobile first experience.

Site of LA based digital agency HAUS. Nice animated intros to each project, with nice level of detail for each of the project pages. Lots of nice details that elevate – such as the contact page where you can play a game on the map, the menu page with awesome bg animations. All in all a well designed and executed modern agency site with lots of personality.

Website for Nosaj Thing’s No Reality EP. Love the 3D sound reactive background visualisation, which changes when you hold down the No Reality logo. Nice vibe, looks great, and fun to play around with the views and listen to the jams.

Refresh of the Fornasetti homepage – Italian design house from Milan. Featuring motifs from their products floating around a 3D space in varying scenes. Fun, playful interactivity and it looks great – nice intro to the site with no clear purpose other than being cool.
Site for Berlin based agency that specialise in content creation. Love the visual metaphor of the piece of paper that rotates and moves as you scroll to reveal new patterns and color, very elegant and interesting way of presenting a concept of what they do. Nice nav along the right hand side that appears when you get into the more detailed sections.

Lovely site for Boombotix Pro, a portable speaker. Really nice way of highlighting the top level features of the device from draggable 3d models to nice background video highlight the water resistant feature. Lots of nice details such as navigation down the side, nice simple light site that gets the key points across. And – it looks fantastic!

Taking racing data from a Porsche and mixing it with audio and visualising the results. Lovely rich, dynamic 3D experience, love the way the lines roll across the car and particles flow to highlight the profile of the Porsche. Nice colours and shapes that really offer a sensation of speed as the car ‘drives’ through the data. Nice idea and well crafted experience.

Teaser site for new film Albedo Absolute. Love the 3D scrolling which morphs the background of the site and provides a unique perspective as you scroll down. With a relatively small amount of content they have created something quite compelling with lovely sound design too.
Site promoting the launch of the new Jungle Book film. Featuring lovely bold type, background video and – deeper in the site – beautifully created 3D illustrated scenes. Love the transitions and lots of attention to detail, beautifully crafted and nicely executed when you consider it is essentially a really well skinned Tumblr blog.

Beautiful interactive story to promote Austrian newspaper Falter. Featuring a chapter by chapter animated dystopian scenes, beautifully drawn and animated with fantastic sound design that builds as you get further into the vertical story. Love the drag and the threshold that restrains the scrolling – so you get a hint of the 3D scene put not so much to be hard to navigate. Very unique and fascinating way of promoting a liberal newspaper, beautifully executed.

Interesting 3D experience to explore the technology and differences behind a house powered by green energy. Incredibly detailed 3D landscape of a modern house – love the walkthroughs and detailed slide out panels describing key parts of the technology. Amazing to see what level of detail is now possible with Web GL and in browser 3D.

Site allow people to create personalised 3D artworks. Sign in with Twitter / Facebook and press keys on your keyboard to create flowing colours and shapes set to music. There is a loose tie into a new Toyota car – but any excuse to create interactive artwork is a good one! Love the ambient sound and music and fun process involved in creating these artworks. I like the way a short gif is created to allow you to share your work.
