Site for high European street label ‘ONLY’. Essentially quite a long video catalogue featuring clothes from the label, when you click the video stops and hotspots appear – when you click on of these the item is highlighted. Simple, but the transitions and small details such as nice transitions and animations just life it all a little. Nicely made and a slick experience.

Fun, bold, and colourful site for Pacific Sunwear of California. Large photography, bold colours, and parallax scrolling (this time vertically), but all combined make a very graphic presence – very simple in it’s execution but works wonderfully. Love the easing on the scroll – which makes such a difference on a site like this – makes for smooth scrolling experience.

Site allowing you to experience situations through Carly’s eyes – she is autistic. It shows for example meeting someone for coffee and all the distractions she witnesses all in an interactive way – moving your mouse around changes focus. Simple, tasteful and interesting way for people to experience what it might be like to be autistic.

Fun site for Castor Design a Canadian design firm. Love the high res image of shelf’s that you have to zoom in/out of – akin to Google Maps. Clean crisp design and interactivity – nice little touches and animations bring an element of playfulness to the site, lots of hidden content. Smooth animation and transitions – all good.

Beautifully crafted site for French agency blacknegative. Adopting a style of navigation similar to an iPad app you click and drag between sections to see what blacknegative is all about and see their projects. Full of well considered animations and transitions, and most insterestingly it is all in HTML5/Javascript, the smoothness of the animations and style of transition is incredible. The integration with the minimal design and layout is fantastic – a top notch site.

Nice site promoting Cindy Sherman’s photography at MoMA. Nice simple, well designed, and well crafted photography site. Love all the attention to detail, the sliders, I like the depth of field look on non-selected projects. Many characteristics common with Flash, however it is not – nice transitions and effects too. Really nice site!

Nice site highlighting Google Maps and its latest abilities. Using a 3d map you move your cursor to change the position to move a rolling ball through cities such as New York, London and Tokyo, each time showing a feature of Google Maps such as tube times and so on. Really nice WebGL 3d, and beautifully done and designed – all fun to use to and very Google.

Really nice site for the Australian RDNS, which provides nursing and healthcare services for those in need. The site highlights the 130 year history through a really nice interface. Love the transitions and well designed and well thought out layout – in particular the scrolling left & right works a joy. Lots of nice attention to detail bits, nice icons and fun to use.

Cool site for Lois Jeans marking their 50th Anniversary. Love the parallax vertical scrolling – really adds the feeling of depth and fun, like the faux depth of field look too. Shows ads and videos from their timeline – going back through time. Bit of fun and nice to play with.

Nice site for Optimo hats, ‘life’s better with a great hat’. Premium styled, with nice transitions and layout, like the video backgrounds and the considered use of typography. Really like the ‘style’ section where you can see the whole range of hats and explore them from different angles. A surprising site for such a specialist subject, nicely designed & fun.

Site of Hungarian based agency Carnation Group. Nice design, slick transitions (non Flash), and lots of interesting interaction ideas. Done to death with the vertical scrolling and parallax but I think this is a nice example, particularly with the animation and smooth transitions.
