Site for agency based in Paris Anagram. Lovely homepage with the images scrolling within their mask with movement – love the brush script and splashes of mint colour. Nice subtle animations and transitions throughout all which lift the content. Lots of whitespace and room for the content to breathe, love all the subtle UI elements such as in-line preloading on thumbnails or rollover states.

Love this portfolio of creative director, photographer and film maker Diane Martel. Featuring a beautiful minimal interface consisting of a 3D menu that you scroll vertically – even with sub menu items it remains easy to use. On rollover see a preview and on click a nice horizontal scrolling carousel of imagery. Great to see a refreshing take on the standard folio site, beautifully done.

Site of French digital agency Angstrom. Fresh look and feel, brought to life with lots of slick transitions and animations. With a broad range of work from fashion and drink the work is presented in an interesting way, love all the attention to detail throughout the site, the works page is a great example.
Site of French photographer specializing in high end fashion and beauty photography. Very elegant and simple design that allows the photography to pop, love the background colour transitions that match the imagery in foreground. Love the seamless transitions that add a subtle premium well polished feel to the site. It looks great and lots of nice details that make fun to explore.

Site of Japanese design agency Studio Details. Nice dark look and feel with a nice body of work showcased in an elegant way. Love all of the transitions and attention to detail, making the site have an app like experience. Nice touch of floating particle effects adds an element of depth.

Site of French based digital agency Big Youth. Colourful and playful site with well crafted case studies showcasing their range of work. I love how each of the key case studies are custom crafted to represent the brand they worked on. Some nice playful elements on the homepage that trigger full screen 3D moments highlighting their 3D WebGL skills. Nice little UI moments dotted throughout the experience and gorgeous transitions that inject life into the site. Great example of a modern agency site.

Site of London based More and More a motion and design studio. Reel upfront followed by case study thumbnails all with nice looping motion so in a full scrolls you get the picture of what they do. Click into a project and you get a case study with lovely detailed moments of the design / motion work. Love the way you can zoom into a project, click and drag to cycle through the work and scroll to go back to previous screen – very simple and elegant mechanic. Lovely work, great site.

One of the nicest portfolio sites i’ve seen for a long time – Art Director / Designer based in France – Lionel Durimel. Love the homescreen – on rollover the specific project thumbnail slides in and the background fades to a complimentary colour. Enter a project and explore the details – love the absolute elegant simplicity – inline animations / video – details and full layouts. When you have reached the end of the case study the next one sides in from right and the next patch of project details appears. The minimal design and layout is lifted by the addition of small details – the transitions, progress bar at top, the awesome scroll effect that skews the type and images based on scroll velocity – (and the url). Fresh, modern, fantastic portfolio.

Site of London based photographer Liam Ricketts. Interesting wavy fabric based header image, revealing an elegant site to explore the photographer’s folio. Love the rollover effect which isolates particular projects, but love the horizontal scrolling mechanic even more. Nicely implemented – with offset grid of images and supporting text, like how once scrolled to end the next suggestion is suggested. Refreshing, clean and modern photographers site – nice.

Great collection of work – nice homepage carousel – love the dots with the circle growing around to show time between the carousel cycling. Colourful design that mirrors the colourful work – transitions between each section and pages are fun and playful. Nice and fun body of work in a simple and easy to use wrapper.
