Site of Kwok, US based designer, and a personal portfolio. Love the personality dotted all around this site, from the playful dot to dot represenation of distance from my ip to where he’s based, through to a guestbook where visitors leave their messages, it’s like going back to the fun websites of yesteryear. Lovely design and nice mix of type and languages, particularly like the transition from project thumbs to the detail page. Super cool and super fresh.

Gorgeous site refresh from French agency Reso Zero. Love the feeling of depth achieved through the scrolling parallax effect, and the seamless transitions to the project pages – with the hero image gliding across the screen and colour fades – this site is a joy to explore. Beautiful art direction throughout and incredibly well crafted.

Boook.land

A collaborative interactive story writing experience. “BOOOK.LAND is a space for collaborative storytelling, bringing the online world together to write a novel. The digital platform allows participants to take part in a live novel anywhere, anytime. By continuing the story where it was left off and illustrating it as it’s being written, participants are able to collaborate with the rest of the world. The final novels are unconventional, unexpected pieces born from a clash of digital and print worlds.” Incredible idea, nicely crafted and inspirational for the digital medium.

Sandra Autukaite

Playful site of Art Director & Designer Sandra Autukaite based in London. Love the old school nod to the cursor animation, and the engaging and playful way of viewing work – click and random artefacts start appearing on the canvas. Really simple, stripped back experience that gets across the breadth of the folio.

Interactive documentary about what it’s like to exist while black. A range of stories from people describing discrimination in everyday existence – shopping, driving, parenting. A bold type driven experience, full of heart wrenching stories, told through the eyes of those who are victim of everyday discrimination.

Nuclear Dissent

By | @jam3 | No Comments

Interactive documentary chronicling the testing of nuclear weapons. Fascinating combination of first person simulated VR / 3D videos, first hand testimonies, and history as told by those who were there. Beautifully crafted experience that really takes you there, and gives a multimedia overview of the history of these world ending weapons.
