Site of Paris based production agency who specialise in music and commercial videos. Elegant and minimal interface, love the sliding menu to the left slips underneath the video nicely. Smooth transitions and nice clean design that lets the content do the talking.

Sounds strange but this is the site for Swiss embossing specialty company Boegli. Execution is superb, with super slick and restrained transitions and animations – love the timeline, transitions between the pages, and the scroll down mechanic where the visual masks off and shrinks to a portal. So well crafted and elegant with a splash of colour from the vibrant photography.

Interesting idea – to take the an Ibis Hotel bed to the summit of ‘Devil’s Mountain’ for the ultimate night’s sleep. Following a format of a travel / expedition short film – with an interactive timeline, extras and a really cool 3d map. It is a surprisingly sophisticated interactive experience considering the client and subject matter – with loads of transitions / sliding panels / and cool animations. A fantastic example of a modern, sophisticated interactive film.

Site from MTV Mobile, asking people to make short films which will then feature in the latest MTV Mobile commercial. Some nice touches here and there, like the typography on full screen video, and some cool transitions, rollover states and so on in each section. Interesting layout too…

Site celebrating the 10th year anniversary and showing the history of the Ed Banger music label. A simple site – scrolling downwards reveals animations and shows key moments in the label’s history. Lots of detail – from dragging around music covers to interactive keyboards – it’s fun to explore and play. Love the history summary panel where you can see the entire page and navigate around. Just a nice example of a timeline based design which fun to explore.

Portfolio site of Anonymous, Paris based digital production agency. Really cool site, fresh and modern – with lots of nice touches. Love the masking of the thumbnails and the splitting of the page to reveal the project detail inline – clicking and dragging through the images – gives it all an ‘appy’ feel. Really like the way they have arranged the projects chronologically and scrolling reveals a sticky element showing year following the scroll bar. Some amazing work in there too, all presented in an interesting way in a cool interface.

Simple and clean portfolio site of Control Films a boutique commercial / music video production agency based in Paris. Minimal layout and elegant concept – thumbnails play when interacted with, and when pressed scrolls you back to the top of the page where the video splits the page and begins playing. Clean and minimal and does the job well.
